Refund POLICY
Corvalis LLC ("Corvus POS," "we," "us," "our") — Last updated: March 2, 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. All Sales Are Final
All subscription fees paid to Corvalis LLC are non-refundable. This applies to both monthly ($25/mo) and annual ($200/yr) plans. Fees are charged in advance for the upcoming billing period — once a billing cycle begins, that payment is earned and non-refundable regardless of actual usage.
By subscribing, you acknowledge and accept this policy. The no-refund policy is disclosed at the point of subscription activation.
2. Why No Refunds?
We offer a generous 14-day Free Trial with full access to every feature — no credit card required. The trial is specifically designed so you can thoroughly evaluate whether Corvus POS is right for your business before spending a dollar.
By choosing to subscribe after the trial, you've had a meaningful opportunity to assess the platform. This approach mirrors industry-standard practice for SaaS products with free trials.
3. Free Trial Details
- Duration: 14 calendar days from account creation.
- Eligibility: New accounts only. One trial per business.
- No credit card required to start.
- Full access: Admin dashboard, QR menu creation, order management, daily reports, Square Terminal integration, PDF menus — everything.
- At trial end: Admin access is restricted until you subscribe. Your data is kept for 30 days. You'll receive an email warning 7 days before deletion.
- No trial abuse: Creating multiple accounts to extend the trial violates our Terms of Service and may result in account termination.
4. Cancellation
How to Cancel
Log into your admin dashboard, go to Settings > Subscription, and click "Cancel Subscription." You can also email [email protected] with your account email.
What Happens When You Cancel
- All future charges stop immediately.
- You keep full access until the last day of your current paid period.
- No credit, refund, or proration is issued for the unused portion.
Annual Plan Cancellation
If you cancel an annual plan mid-year, you keep access through the end of your annual period. No prorated refund is issued. For example: if you pay $200 on January 1 and cancel on June 1, you retain access through December 31 — but no $100 refund is given for the unused 6 months.
5. Service Credit Exception
When Credits Apply
Service credits (not cash refunds) may be issued at our sole discretion when:
- The platform has an unplanned, continuous outage of 24 consecutive hours or more.
- The outage is caused by infrastructure or software within our reasonable control (not third-party failures).
- You submit a support request within 7 days of the outage.
Credit Amounts
- 24–47 hours: 1/30th of your monthly fee per qualifying day.
- 48+ hours: 2/30th per day (1/30th base + 1/30th extended outage bonus).
- Cap: Credits are capped at one full monthly subscription ($25). Annual plan credits are based on the monthly equivalent ($16.67).
How Credits Work
- Applied to your next billing cycle.
- Non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, no expiration while your subscription is active.
- If you cancel before using a credit, it is forfeited.
What's Not Covered
- Scheduled maintenance (announced 24+ hours in advance)
- Outages caused by your own actions or misconfigurations
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, widespread internet outages)
- Third-party service failures (Square Terminal offline, Stripe API down, Firebase Auth down, Railway infrastructure incidents)
- Free Trial accounts
- Accounts in a suspended or past-due state
6. If We Shut Down
If Corvalis LLC discontinues Corvus POS entirely (not because of something you did), and you have a prepaid annual plan with more than 30 days remaining, we will issue a prorated refund calculated as:
(remaining full months / 12) × $200
This is the only circumstance under which a monetary refund will be issued. Monthly subscribers simply won't be charged for the next cycle.
7. Billing Disputes & Chargebacks
Contact Us First
If you believe you were charged in error, email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. Include your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and the reason for your dispute. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. If we confirm a billing error on our end, we will issue a corrective credit or refund regardless of this no-refund policy.
Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback with your bank before contacting us is a violation of these Terms. Unresolved or fraudulent chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension. If a chargeback is reversed in our favor, your account may be reinstated.
8. Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and is part of our Terms of Service. In the event of conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
